AIACE srl – Società di Ingegneria, in collaboration with Holzner & Bertagnolli Engineering Srl, De Biasio Progetti, Geologist Massimo Marella and Engineer Gaia Laura Brasca, has been awarded the call for tenders for the feasibility study, the definitive and executive design and the coordination for safety under construction of the new bridge over Palobbia creek in Ceto (BS).

The intervention, made necessary as a result of the collapse of the historic twentieth-century bridge therein, provides to maintain and enhance the remains of the historic bridge itself, occupying with the new intervention the outline of the temporary Bailey Bridge, built to temporarily ensure the transit to the Paghera Valley.

The new structure is well integrated with the surrounding mountain context through the numerous references to the historical and naturalistic memories of the place: the military cableways are evoked by the metal cables connecting the pylons, the snow-clad forest environment with eight metal struts in white steel, the shelters of Camuni and military Casematte through the panoramic “stones” placed on the bridge.
