The cogeneration plant works through combustion of wood chips, renewable source of energy derived from plant species, for generating electricity and heat in combined form. The complex is made up of spaces for the storage of material, environments for the production of energy and staff offices. The choice to underground much of the volume is due to the desire to reduce the visual impact of the complex. The mitigation works involving the insertion of different species of trees, tall trees or shrubs, the formation of artificial hills and the use of stretch metal in some parts of the building.
