The underground parking is located in the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo in Piazza Largo Poste. In the final proposals the third underground level was eliminated. The simplification of the design of the ramps has led to an improvement in internal traffic flows and much more pedestrian safety. In total, the parking lot has 151 parking spaces: 79 public and 72 private. Despite the changes to the ramps, the design of the square was only partially modified, mainly by reducing the grid surfaces in favor of greater use of the porphyry paving. The service building, which joins the square, is characterized by large continuous facades in thermal break aluminum, protected by summer radiation with fixed metal sunblinds, installed only in the upper part. The cladding in heat-treated wood strips, takes place around the building like a ribbon that surrounds it. The structure is with steel beams and pillars, covering in structural panels of wood x-lam and vertical closures with sandwich panels covered inside with metal counter-walls.
