The idea of urban furniture of the roundabout, placed in the ex-statal road 42 in Badetto locality, takes origin from the will of the project to bring back all the historical and naturalistic-landscaping elements that surround and constitute the Municipality of Ceto and Valle Camonica, known for the pre-historical incisions, UNESCO’s heritage. Lots of symbols of ancient tradition are drawn on these historiated rocks. The founding idea is born from these drawings, in particular the idea of “modern pitoto”, a new interpretation of past symbols, a tradition transposed in the modern age. This “pitoto” is associated with a “scütüm”, a nick-name: Joie, mirrored image of 2016, the year of the beginning of the project. The landscape of the roundabout would be completed with rustic vegetation, river stones and compartmentation in corten/ oxidized iron in order to create a movement that reflects the orography of the site and the drawing of the rosa camuna (another symbol of the rock carvings).
