Structural design and executive design
The executive design of the two emerging volumes (Hadid park in CityLife) was managed in relation to the needs and requirements of the production. For the all the structures was followed an almost “standard” procedure. Instead, for the cladding “ad hoc” measures were used. The horizontal gratings have been divided into frames in relation to the indications provided by the producers, respecting the architectural aesthetic will; the vertical plate cladding, on the other hand, required a more precise study of each single part. The highest plates were divided into 4 pieces, two linear and two curvilinear, to optimize the production (3 of the 4 parts are identical for the great part of the plates), while the lower plates, missing the vertical straight portion, they have been modeled and manufactured individually, by laser cutting. To facilitate construction operations, the plates have been joined in frames of equal weight (about 80 kg each).
